Upgrade Laravel without losing sight of the business application.
We modernize Laravel applications along supported upgrade paths. Old packages, custom service providers and grown Eloquent models are not only replaced technically. They are checked against real business behavior.
When the framework and application drift apart
Laravel upgrades rarely fail on the core alone. The hard work sits in packages, queues, Eloquent, Blade templates and custom integration code.
- The Laravel release in use no longer receives security fixes.
- Composer can no longer resolve dependencies onto supported versions.
- Old packages or custom service providers block PHP and framework upgrades.
- Queues, authentication or Eloquent behavior changed across several major releases.
What we assess and deliver
- Review of Laravel, PHP and Composer versions plus all packages and plugins
- Upgrade path with required intermediate versions and explicit blockers
- Cleanup of outdated configuration, service providers and upgrade scripts
- Replacement or adaptation of incompatible packages and custom extensions
- Test coverage for critical controllers, jobs, queues and database access
- Controlled release with migration, cache, worker and rollback plan
Clear service boundaries
- A framework upgrade does not replace business acceptance testing.
- Unmaintained third-party packages may require custom replacement work.
- Large data and queue migrations are tested and scheduled separately.
- Major releases are only skipped when Laravel and its dependencies support it safely.
From assessment to a dependable result
- 01
Build the upgrade path
Versions, deprecations, packages and custom extensions are combined into a dependable sequence.
- 02
Protect behavior
Critical web, CLI and background processes receive the necessary automated and business checks.
- 03
Migrate in stages
Framework, packages and configuration move through testable intermediate states.
- 04
Control the release
Database migrations, cache, queues and deployments ship with monitoring and a rollback path.

Keep the next Laravel release small.
Regular updates, tests and documented releases stop future Laravel upgrades from becoming rescue projects.
Explore application managementWhat to know before contacting us
Can a very old Laravel version still be upgraded?
Usually. The effort depends on PHP, packages, custom architecture and the number of skipped major releases. An assessment shows whether a direct or staged path is safer.
Are automated upgrade tools enough?
Automated changes are a starting point, not a replacement for review. We check every change and back it with tests because tools do not understand business behavior.
What happens to abandoned packages?
We assess replacements, remove unnecessary behavior or move the required part into small, owned code.
Can future upgrades become regular maintenance?
Yes. Application management can put Laravel, PHP and dependency updates onto a recurring maintenance schedule.
