Move to the cloud without improvising the cutover.
We plan the application, data, integrations and operations as one migration path. The target environment is tested before the switch. The cutover has explicit checks and a practical rollback point.
When the current infrastructure no longer fits the system
A cloud migration changes operations. It is not a file copy. Data consistency, external dependencies and application behavior after cutover decide whether the move works.
- Servers or operating systems are reaching end of support without a clean target environment.
- Scaling, availability or ownership are difficult to control on the current platform.
- A data center or provider needs to be left without rebuilding the application at the same time.
- Databases, file storage, jobs and external interfaces need to move in a controlled order.
What we assess and deliver
- Inventory of the application, data, network paths, jobs, integrations and operational dependencies
- Target architecture with ownership, security baseline and realistic resource requirements
- Application and data migration plan with test, cutover and rollback criteria
- Target environment, deployment, monitoring, backups and access paths
- Migration rehearsal and controlled production cutover with technical verification
- Retirement and follow-up plan for the old environment
Clear service boundaries
- Cloud infrastructure does not fix application defects automatically.
- Large datasets and low downtime tolerance need dedicated synchronization methods.
- Provider and licence costs remain separate from migration work.
- A move without tested backups and rollback criteria is not treated as a safe cutover.
From assessment to a dependable result
- 01
Map the current system
The application, data, jobs, integrations, network and operating routines are captured in full.
- 02
Build target operations
Infrastructure, access, deployment, monitoring and backups exist before the actual move.
- 03
Rehearse the migration
Data transfer, startup order, integrations and business checks run in the target environment.
- 04
Cut over with control
The switch follows a checklist with acceptance points, monitoring and a defined rollback deadline.
Work related to this topic
The target environment needs a steady operating rhythm.
After migration we can own updates, deployment, monitoring, backups and technical follow-up.
Explore application managementWhat to know before contacting us
Does the application need to be rebuilt for the migration?
Not necessarily. We change only what the target environment requires. Unsupported runtimes or local file storage may need focused changes before or during the move.
How much downtime will the cutover need?
That depends on data volume, write load and architecture. A rehearsal provides the basis for the maintenance window and shows whether parallel synchronization is needed.
Do you only work with IONOS CLOUD?
No. IONOS CLOUD is one option for EU-based infrastructure. Existing or other suitable providers can also be part of the target design.
Can you operate the system after migration?
Yes. Application management can continue updates, deployment, monitoring, backups and agreed changes.
